The Royal Windsor Horse Show is set to commence this Thursday, 15 May and Aussie Boyd Exell is aiming to secure his fifteenth win at the prestigious show!
Boyd and his team have already claimed a victory this season in the CAIO4* Four-In-Hand at Horse Driving Kronenberg in the Netherlands last month and we have every confidence they will continue to wow at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
His team for this competition includes Daan 8, Hero, Jelviro, Mad Max 81 and Mister Bono Van ‘T Hooge. Mister Bono Van ‘T Hooge and Hero were part of his winning team in Kronenberg.
The CAIO4* commences Friday, 16 May with the Dressage (Comp A) at 9:30am (BST) which is 6:30pm (AEST) for Aussies wanting to watch from home.
Saturday is the Marathon (Comp B) for Boyd and his team, which commences at 10:30am (BST) which is 7:30pm (AEST)
The final phase of Obstacle Driving (Comp C) is on Sunday at 10:30am (BST), which is 7:30pm (AEST).
No CDI at Royal Windsor this year
This year there will unfortunately be no CDI dressage competition at the Royal Windsor Show due to rising costs and the competition format that would require the official show opening to be one day earlier. A dressage masterclass will be held in lieu of the CDI with dressage stars Carl Hester, Becky Moody and Dinja Van Liere riding, and Richard Davidson presenting.
To keep up to date on the action, start lists and results shall be posted here.
