Following the heavy rainfall during the Melbourne International 3 Day Event (MI3DE), we were very pleased with how well the grounds held up. As a precaution, the second ring was relocated to the Martin Collins indoor wax arena to ensure optimal footing in case of further rain leading into the weekend.
This year’s jumping series was fiercely contested, with over 100 schools represented across the three qualifying rounds and the Grand Final. An impressive total of 361 horse-and-rider combinations took part throughout the series.
Series School Champions:
🥇 Bacchus Marsh Grammar – 91 points
🥈 Ballarat Grammar – 90 points
🥉 Braemar College – 88 points
Despite the winter chill, the weather held off, allowing the final to run smoothly without rain. The organisers would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many families who stayed back to assist with packing up courses at the end of the event.

Series Champions & Victorian Team Selections
With Grand Final points weighted at 1.5x, the final round often determines the outcome of the series. A single rail can be the difference between the top podium and missing out entirely. While series placings are open to all year levels, team selection for the Australian Interschool Nationals is based on age divisions at certain heights.
