Ema and the 13-year-old mare by Verdi TN scored a super 24.7 in the dressage phase to take the early lead and was the only combination to go clear and under time in both showjumping and cross country. This marks the pair’s second win at this event, the first being in 2020.

Ema and Bronte Beach Z have previously had three starts at CCI5* and finished fourth at their most recent CCI4*-S earlier this year at Raeford, NC. This win serves as great preparation for the combination, who should head into the CCI4*-L at Terranova with confidence.

Caroline Pamukcu and HSH Sebastian finished second on 28, moving up from third after dressage with just 1.2-time penalties added on cross country.

Caroline also secured third place with her other ride, HSH Connor. The pair were fourth after dressage with 27.4 and only added 4.0-time penalties on cross country to finish on 31.4.

Ema also campaigned two other horses in the class – FZF Wildflower and RF Redfern.

FZF Wildflower and Ema sat tenth after dressage on 36.9, a clear showjumping moving them up to eighth. A strong cross-country run, clear with 7.6-time penalties, saw them finish sixth overall.

RF Redfern and Ema were second after dressage with 26.6 but a costly rail in showjumping dropped the combination to fourth. Penalties and faults in cross country saw them ultimately finish in eleventh with 69.4.
