Serena Ireland and Royalty R have been selected to represent Australia at the 2026 FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final, to be held in Fort Worth, Texas.

Serena and Royalty R will step into the Australian position after Mary Hanna elected not to contest the 2026 Final. Mary, who represented Australia with Ivanhoe at the 2025 FEI Dressage World Cup Final, shared with Equestrian Life that she declined the invitation due to the demands of international travel to America.

Serena shared her excitement on social media following the announcement:

“I am beyond excited to announce I will represent Australia and the Pacific League at the 2026 FEI Dressage World Cup Final in Fort Worth, Texas. Dreams like this don’t happen alone. They are built by a village — my unfaltering team, my people, and of course the incredible partner who has been with me from the very beginning.

Rusty — this one’s for us.

Grateful. Ready. World Cup bound.”

Having trained Royalty R — fondly known as Rusty — through the levels herself, Ireland will take an Australian-bred combination onto the world stage. The Regardez Moi x Jive Magic gelding represents a proud achievement for Australian breeding, with local fans eagerly anticipating the pair’s performance at the sport’s highest level.

Riders selected for World Cup Finals understand that qualification is only part of the challenge. With international travel and competition costs required to be met entirely by riders, Serena has established a donation page to assist with the significant expenses involved in competing at the elite international level.
