Paired with Hanoverian gelding Iron Dames Cydello (Cascadello x Forsyth FRH), Edwina Tops-Alexander was one of six to produce a clear jump-off round in Saturday’s opening class on the Longines Outdoor Arena. Stopping the clock at 37.22 seconds, the combination only narrowly missed out on a podium finish in the CSI3* Grand Prix 1.50m (Art. 220.2.1.2).
“Cydello jumped great all weekend finishing up fourth in the CSI3* Grand Prix,” shared Tops-Alexander following the event. “We are looking forward to the next few shows coming up.”

The CSI3* Grand Prix was won by Switzerland’s Nadja Peter Steiner and Quarantinette Vt Hazelarenhoekje in a time of 35.54.
Earlier on Friday at CHI Al Shaqab – an event that forms part of the Doha Equestrian Tour (DET) – Tops-Alexander and Iron Dames Cydello jumped clear in the CSI3* Faults & Time 1.45m (Art. 220.2.1.1) to place inside the top twenty. The Australian rider was also 22nd in the CSI5* Faults & Time 1.50m (Art.220.2.1.1) riding Labantrix (Eldorado Vd Zeshoek x Abantos Nra Stb 83 4) with just one rail down.
On Thursday, fellow Australian Georgina Harvey Lazarus placed with her mare Butterfly Ennemmel in the CSI3* Faults & Time 1.30m (Art. 220.2.1.1).
