Laura Graves and Verdades are now the number one dressage combination in the world according to the latest FEI Dressage Rankings. They are the first American combination to achieve the top position.
The pair have been second or third behind Isabell Werth for some time, but this month they have knocked the long-time world number one off the top spot.
Laura and Verdades’ number one ranking comes after their team and individual silver medals at the recent World Equestrian Games. Isabell took team and individual gold, but was riding Bella Rose rather than her former world number one Weihegold OLD.
Isabell now holds the number two, three and four places with Weihegold, Emilio and Bella Rose respectively.
Following their bronze medals at WEG, Charlotte Dujardin and Mount St John Freestyle have moved up to sixth position. Cathrine Dufour and Atterupgaards Cassidy are in fifth, Dorothee Schneider and Sammy Davis Jr. are in seventh, Helen Langehanenberg and Damsey FRH are in eighth, Edward Gal and Glock’s Zonik ninth and Patrik Kittel and Deja are in tenth.
The highest ranked Australian combination is Kristy Oatley and Du Soleil in 44th, up from 56th following an amazing performance at WEG.
