Join International Grand Prix Dressage Champion, Gareth Hughes, as he presents five masterclasses throughout the day!

He’ll be sharing his vast knowledge and best kept training secrets with us as he talks us through the levels, from establishing the foundations in the young dressage horse, right through to refining the FEI movements.

Over the past 10 years Gareth has amassed more than 30 National and International Titles including international wins at Small Tour and Grand Prix, both in the UK and abroad. He has represented Great Britain on numerous occasions at the European Championships and World Equestrian Games, picking up medals along the way.

Gareth and his Wife Rebecca set up their own successful dressage training barn in Warwickshire in 2011, here Hughes Dressage was born.

Roger Fitzhardinge

Joining us also this year is highly acclaimed Australian dressage trainer, coach and competitior, Roger Fitzhardinge
With over 35 years of experience in the sport, as a former A level National Judge, dressage specialist coach, FEI level competition, equestrian photographer and motivational speaker, Roger is passionate about the sport and is an excellent communicator.

His Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) gives him an added advantage of understanding the biomechanics of horse and rider.

As honoured Gow Gates Award recipient for Services to the Sport, we are lucky to have Roger as a presenter at this year’s event.

The Double Dans

Not only will you be spending the day absorbing valuable knowledge and training inspiration from Gareth and Roger, you’ll also be getting highly entertained by Double Dan Horsemanship!

This tremendously talented duo perform all around the world, wowing crowds with electrifying liberty horse demonstrations displaying the ultimate partnership between horses and handlers. Retailers from all around Australia arrive at the QLD Festival of Dressage bringing with them a huge selection of products for you, the eager shoppers, to take advantage of. Here you will have access to many stores from interstate that you wouldn’t normally have access to. Come and enjoy the many ‘festival only’ bargains from our wonderful trade vendors.

In an amazing show of support towards our sport, leading stallion owners, trade vendors and sponsors continually offer up to $5000 each in products/services toward our crowd pleasing silent Auction and Raffles – wiht all proceeds being 100% directed back to Dressage in Queensland.

Ringside tables are arrayed right next to the arena – you could almost reach out and shake hands with the presenters! Dining includes: morning tea, a delicious lunch and afternoon tea, served with complementary wine and unlimited fresh tea and coffee.
