Swiss Olympic Show jumper, Janika Sprunger has sold her top showjumping stallion, Bacardi VDL to Dutch horse dealer, Jan Tops.
The stunning 13-year-old KWPN stallion left for his new home in the Netherlands earlier in the week. Janika wished Baracrdi all the best with his new owners, and his new rider, which as this point is to be Aussie, Edwina Tops-Alexander.
Janika and Bacardi VDL recently won the CSI5* World Cup, which was held in Dubai. The unbeatable duo went double clear in the 1.60m CDI5* class, with a time of 49.96 seconds, which was 1.5 seconds faster than the runner-up.
Janika Sprunger also sold her previous jumping star, Palloubet d’Halong to Jan Tops for 11 million euros, which was considered to be a record price for a gelding.
