The definite entry list is out for the FEI World Cup Jumping Final in Gothenburg, Sweden, in April.
The list – which includes 35 athletes from 18 countries – is headed by last year’s World Cup Champion, Elizabeth Madden and Breitling LS of the USA.
Other big names include Georgina Bloomberg (USA), Olivier Philippaerts (Belgium), Kevin Staut (France), Christian Ahlmann (Germany), Ludger Beerbaum (Germany), Daniel Duesser (Germany), Martin Fuchs (Switzerland), Steve Guerdat (Switzerland), and Henrik Von Eckermann (Sweden).
No Australians will start in Gothenburg, as the Australian League winners, Aaron Hadlow and Vahlinvader, have opted not to make the trip. Heading to Sweden from Australia is a long and arduous journey – not to mention expensive. With a relatively young and inexperienced horse (and a full time job outside of the equestrian industry), a World Cup Final start has just come a little too soon for this talented pair.
You can read more about Aaron and his amazing mare in the current issue of Equestrian Life magazine (below)!
