NZ’s Julie Brougham and Vom Feinsten

New Zealand Olympian, Julie Brougham is back in the saddle again, after a hiatus from competing, after being diagnosed with serious Carcinoma. The 65-year-old Grand Prix dressage rider competed last weekend at Manfield Park, with her 2016 Rio Olympic mount, Vom Feinsten.
The combination were a crowd favourite at the event, and together brought in dressage enthusiasts from far and wide who were all thrilled to see the talented duo compete together again.
The last time Brougham and Vom Feinsten competed, prior to last weekend at Manfield Park, was at the 2018 World Equestrian Games, which were held in Tryon, North Carolina. The combination were 36th in the Grand Prix, with a total score of 68.991%. Brougham was diagnosed with the cancer shortly after returning home from the Games, and underwent multiple stages of chemotherapy and surgery to combat the aggressive cancer.
Brougham’s beaming to be back in the saddle again, and we’re very excited to see what’s next for both Julie and Vom Feinsten!
