Pony Club Australia is seeking highly skilled people to joinits new Education and Development Committee which will advise the PCA board. The PCA board is an independent, skills-based board that seeks specialist expertise to assist with delivery of the PCA Strategic Plan. Knowledge, skills and perspectives are valued so that PCA can continue to enhance offerings for members and our contribution to sport and the community.
The role of the PCA Education and Development Committee is to develop strategies, policies and programs for coach and official education, rider syllabus and leadership.
This is a skills-based, independent committeeof up to 8 people with collective expertise in;
- Education –design and delivery of secondary and tertiary programs
- Psychology
- Coaching of diverse equestrian sports
- Communication and engagement
- On line learning and development platforms
- Workplace safety
- Human resource management
There is a three-year term of appointment and meetings will be held 4 times per year.

Pony Club Australia is the largest equestrian organisation in Australia with over 22,000 riders and 800 clubs. Pony Club Australia has recently launched a new syllabus which incorporates Equitation Science and an evidence-based approach to horse training to benefit both rider safety and horse welfare. This is one of the biggest changes in its 80 year history.
