Subzero celebrating his 31st birthday – what a milestone!

Subzero, the famed snowy white 1992 Melbourne Cup winner, has turned 31 today! The much loved thoroughbred had birthday celebrations on the 1st of August as well as today (his actual birthday), with his nearest and dearest, which included plenty of carrots, pats, cheers and treats.
The now 31-year-old thoroughbred suffered a serious bout of colic earlier this year, which resulted in the champion having to have surgery at the Bendigo Equine Hospital. Subzero has since recovered, and is looking healthy and happy.
