Australian Grand Prix rider Gitte Donvig, who was hospitalised just over a week ago after sustaining a head injury after falling from a young horse has been transferred to the Royal Talbot, in Melbourne for rehabilitation.
An update was posted on Mary Hanna’s Facebook page which read: “Thank you so much to all the people who have shown such kindness and support for Gitte after her terrible accident. She has made quite a lot of progress in one week. She is now being transferred to the Royal Talbot , in Kew, for rehabilitation. It’s going to be a long road, but her incredible strength and determination will bring her through. Not quite ready for visitors yet, but loves seeing the close family, and can’t wait to see the children.”
Equestrian Life wishes Gitte a full and speedy recovery.
