Scuderia 1918 Don Quidam, ridden by Australian Kevin McNab has topped the WBFSH Eventing rankings

The World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) has published the final 2020 Rankings for Breeders and Studbooks, with The Royal Warmblood Studbook of the Netherlands (KWPN – Koninklijk Warmbloed Paarden Stamboek Nederland) topping the dressage, showjumping and eventing rankings.
Scuderia 1918 Don Quidam (by Quidam), ridden by Australian Kevin McNab topped the Eventing rankings.
Weihegold (by Blue Hors Don Schufro) topped the dressage rankings, while Denver (by Albfuehren’s Memphis) topped the jumping rankings.
The WBFSH rankings are based on show results from the FEI competition year which runs from 1 October until 30 September the following year. The studbook rankings are calculated by adding the points of the six highest ranked horses from each studbook. A horse’s best six scores over the season count towards its position in the rankings.
The WBFSH Rankings are published mid October each year, with the winning studbooks honoured during the WBFSH General Assembly. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s General Assembly was conducted as a webinar on the 14th October.

The World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) is a non-profit federation of sport horse studbooks from around the world. The WBFSH generally promotes the common interests of its member studbooks and acts as a representative body for the sport horse breeding sector.
Today, the WBFSH Rankings are generally accepted as an essential ingredient of the sport and breeding industry. Both riders and breeders highly value the rankings as the standard for comparing the performance of both competitors, studbooks, and horses.
