The 2021 Global Champions Tour season kicked off in Doha, Qatar on the weekend, with some of the world’s top showjumpers producing thrilling rounds in the Longines Arena, AL SHAQAB.
34 combinations tackled the 1.60m Grand Prix track, and it was Belgium’s Niels Bruynseels and Delux Van T & L who took the win. Seven combinations jumped clear in the first round, with only four of these going on to produce clear rounds in the jump-off.
After his win, an emotional Niels said: “I am so so happy that I won today, this championship has the best riders and horses in the world, I can only thank my amazing horse who always gives everything for me.”
