By Equestrian Life
Australian show jumper Rowan Willis has enjoyed success at the ArenaMend Classic in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, winning the $57,000 CSI2* Grand Prix with Wellington Grey Goose. The pair also placed second in the CSI2* Two Phase class.
“Thank you Goose you are truly turning into the horse I knew you could be! Makes those tricky times with you worth it!” said Rowan following the win.
Rowan also competed Billys Guilder and Conlando 55 in the CSI2* classes, achieving a clear round with both.
In the CSI5* classes, Rowan rode his 2018 World Equestrian Games partner, Blue Movie, to eighth of 45 combinations in the $175,000 1.50m Table A Jump Off class, and ninth from 30 in the $350,000 1.55m Grand Prix.
“As usual Carrots was the superstar she is, even though it wasn’t quite the placing I’d planned. She continued her run of being placed in every 5* GP she has jumped this year!” said Rowan.
