DJWTS to host FEI Dressage World Cup in March
P.S.I. Dressage & Jumping with the Stars (DJWTS) has announced an exciting dressage schedule, with the event planning to host the first official FEI Dressage World Cup (CDI-W) in Australia in over two years.
The event is set to host the first International Judging Panel since the beginning of the pandemic, giving Australian riders the opportunity to gain valuable feedback from some of the world’s best judges.
Subject to restrictions, PSI DJWTS will host 3 International judges including; 5* judge Andrew Gardner of Great Britain, 5* judge Christof Umbach of Luxembourg and 3* judge Vittorio Barba of the Philippines.
This incredible international judging panel will be joined by Australian based judges including 5* Susie Hoevenaars, 5* Mary Seefried, 4* Jane Ventura, 3* Connie Murray, 3* Virginia Creed and 3* Kerrie Swan-Bates.
Andrew Gardner and Susie Hoevenaars were on the ground jury for the recent Tokyo Olympic Games with Mary Seefried, FEI Technical Delegate.
The event is also set to host the Australian Young Horse and Pony Dressage Championships, the first ever CDI Children’s Competition in Australasia, a new and improved Aachen Challenge and the Prix St Georges Cup among many other classes.
German professional dressage Rider Charlott Schürmann has been named as the guest rider and Masterclass presenter. Charlott won the prestigious Nürnberger Burg-Pokal Final as a Young Rider and has gone on to win multiple European Championships plus a National Junior Champion title as well as many wins and placings at Grand Prix level. Charlott is currently riding a number of talented young horses and enjoying not only the training of them but has been awarded many wins and placings at recent events.
The dressage main arena, located in the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre Indoor, will feature a new upgraded surface for the event.
