Jessica Dertell dominates final day of the Brisbane CDI

The final day of The Saddlefitter Brisbane CDI took place on Sunday at QSEC and saw Jessica Dertell win three major classes with three different horses — and place second in another.
Jessica won the Hygain CDI Grand Prix Special with Cennin on a score of 70.043%, with Sheridyn Ashwood and Fererro Chocolate Box second on 65.532% and Victoria Welch third with Bellagio 11 on 62.404%.
18-year-old Jessica then also won the IHB CDI Under 25 Grand Prix Freestyle riding Eskara De Jeu to a score of 69.710%. Second place went to Mary Nitschke and Utopian Cardinal on 69.090%, while third went to Mackenzie Boundy and Fortune Cookie on 68.765%.
In the Alex Hayes Real Estate Young Rider Freestyle CDI-Y, it was a third win of the day for Jessica, this time with Gladstone M.H. The pair scored an impressive 72.055%. Danielle McMahon and Remi Lauries Joy were second with 68.625%, followed by Lucy Alati and Rubinzent on 64.545%.

The Equissage Junior Rider Freestyle CDI-J went to Kate Kyros riding Courtlands Cadman with a score of 72.135%, finishing ahead of Jessica Dertell and Kilimanjaro on 69.715%. Bronte Rigney finished third with Jaybee Angelina, scoring 69.640%.

The County Saddlery CDN Grand Prix Special saw Matthew Lord and Diamond Jive score 63.191% to win the class, with Robyne Smith and Gwandalan Luca finishing second on 61.844%.
Robyne Smith then claimed the win in the Unicorn Videos Advanced Freestyle with Lord Larry, achieving a score of 71.375%. They finished ahead of Julie Bland and Prominence in second on 67.450%, and Mariette Van Den Berge in third with Bellvale Lewis on 66.410%.
Finally in the WestVets Open Preliminary classes, Danielle Keogh and Willowburn Furstin Bonne won the 1B on 73.214%, while the 1C went to Ruby Allen and Senzation on 71.875%. In the Boutique Equine AOR Preliminary tests, Georgia Thurgate and Regal Quick As A Flash won the 1B on 69.821%, while the 1C was won by Charlotte Cox and Harris Park Riordan on 69.018%.
