Competition wraps up at Willinga Park’s Dressage by the Sea

Four big days of competition concluded at Willinga Park yesterday evening, with Dressage by the Sea wrapping up with its final classes.

The CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle was won by Sue Hearn and Galaxy on 71.125%, from Robert Harrisson-Schmerglatt and Quando Queen on a PB of 7.22%. Sue also took third place with Eminent on 67.825%.

The CDI-U25 Freestyle went to Jessica Dertell and Zanzibar on 69.358%, with Jessica also winning the CDI-Y Freestyle with Gladtone M H on a PB of 73.6%. Kate Kyros was second in the CDI-Y with Intro K on a PB of 72.767%. The CDI-J Freestyle was won by Angelina Thompson and Embarr on a PB f 70.358%, making it a clean sweep of the Junior classes for the pair.

The CDN Childrens Team Test went to Zali Mills and Bloomfield Royal Winston with a score of 67.875%.

Lexy Stansfield won the Inter A/B Freestyle riding BC Romanov, with the pair scoring 69.45%, while the Advanced Freestyle went to Susan Elekessy and Callum Park Damascus on 74.433%.

The Elementary 3.2 was won by Alycia Targa with Zoolander TPH on 69.625%, and Tanisha Ryan won the Novice 2.2 with Sevenoaks Fenrys on 76.328%. Following tests from previous days, Robbie McKinnon claimed the Novice Championship with Felecity, while Nina Boyd and Furstine were named Elementary Champions.

In round two of the young horse classes, the 7YO class went to SPH Fortino for Robbie McKinnon on 79.797%; the 6YO class went to Furstenglanz and Caitlin Scott on 81%; the 5YO class went to Harvey Besley and Senzation on 77.8%; and the 4YO class went to Carool Secret Service for Amy McKenzie on 82%.

In round two of the young pony classes, Haluma Park Siorus claimed the 6YO class for Jordan Evans on 69.4%; Miss Moneypenny won the 5YO class with Alison Gill in the saddle, scoring 77%;and the 4YO class went to Llinez Phantom Diamond, ridden by Jordan Evans with a score of 75%.
