Success for the Aussies at Haras de Jardy
By Equestrian Life
The first day of competition at Haras de Jardy CDI in France has seen two wins for Australian riders, as well as Paris Olympic qualifying scores.
Simone Pearce posted another qualifying score with 10-year-old mare All We Need (All At Once x Friederike by Fidermark) in the CDI3* Grand Prix, achieving 70.522% to place second in a field of over 30 combinations.
Simone and All We Need already have two CDI3* Grand Prix scores ‘approaching or exceeding 69%’ and two strong performances in the Grand Prix Special, and are thus already qualified for Paris as per the Competition Criteria section of Australia Nomination Criteria. However, another strong score here in Jardy shows consistency.
The Rheinländer mare is owned by her breeder, Silke Nicolaus-Krullin, with Simone listed as a co-owner since the end of 2023.
Fellow Australian Jayden Brown also performed well with WillingaPark Sky Diamond in the CDI3* Grand Prix, finishing fifth on 68.957%. The score is likely a second qualifying score for Sky Diamond, who has one Grand Prix score ‘exceeding 69%’ (69.152% at Hickstead last month) in the qualifying period – and this latest mark at Jardy is the best of his scores ‘approaching 69%’ (the next best was 68.609% at Hickstead last year).
The CDI3* Grand Prix was won by Portugal’s João Pedro Moreira and Drosa Fuerst Kennedy OLD on 74.304%.

Two wins for the Aussies
Simone also won the CDI1* Prix St Georges with 10-year-old Hanoverian gelding Fine Art Von Bellin (Fidertanz 2 x Dana by De Niro 6), scoring 73.236% at the horse’s first FEI-level competition.
Fellow Aussie Kate Kyros and Intro K won the CDI-Y Team Test with a score of 69.755%.
Saturday at Jardy
Simone will now ride in the CDI1* Inter I with Fine Art Von Bellin at 8am local time, and the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle with All We Need at 3.30pm local time. Kate and Intro K are due to ride their CDI-Y Individual Test at 11.12am local time.
