A winning weekend for Andrew Cooper

The final day of the Melbourne International Three-Day Event has concluded with an exciting display of show jumping, closing out a strong 6 months of eventing in Victoria.

CCI4*-L – Pryde’s EasiFeed

Andrew Cooper and Pepper Jack followed up their strong and quick cross country yesterday, adding just two rails to their score to take the top honors in the CCI4*-L with a score of 45.2. Emma Mason and KPH Kingfisher finished in a close second with 46.1, while Samantha Cesnik and Graftango took third with a score of 53.4.

CCN4*-S – Olympic Long-Listed Combinations

The CCN4*-S class, held for the Olympic long-listed combinations, was an exciting addition to the event ahead of Paris team selection. Andrew Cooper and Sharvalley Thunder topped the class adding just one rail to finish with a score of 36.7, followed by Shenae Lowings and Bold Venture in second with 39.6. Olivia Barton and Hollyander HG finished third with a score of 44.1.

CCI3*-L – 4Cyte

Teegan Ashby and Magic Mushroom TAE delivered a consistent performance, winning the 4Cyte CCI3*-L for the second consecutive year. Their strong result also earned them the Best Performed OTT horse in the class. Samuel Jeffree and Tulara Baltango claimed second place, while Oliver Barrett and Sandhills Briar finished third. The Cailtyn Fischer award, which was introduced at the 2016 MI3DE by the Victorian Eventing Committee to commemorate the life of Cailtyn, was awarded to Oliver as the highest performing young rider in the class.

CCI2*-L – Off The Track

The Off The Track CCI2*-L class saw some exciting movements in the leaderboard on the final day of competition, with Jess Somerfield and APH New Sensation taking the top honors with a score of 30.5. Georgia Elias and Silverwoods Aussie Pride finished second, and Natalie Davies on Camilla Elmare secured third.

CCI Junior/Young Rider 2*-L – Off The Track

Ruby Rae and WHF Frequency maintained their lead from the cross-country phase, jumping clear to win the Off the Track CCIYJ2*L with a strong score of 28.7. Charlie Richardson and A Foxy Lady followed in second place, while Ellie Gough on GSH Azugo, the Best Performed OTT horse in this class, secured third.

CCN1*-L for Thoroughbreds Only

In its inaugural year, the CCN1*-L class exclusively for Thoroughbreds showcased exciting talent. Georgia Spangaro and Lord Wimborne led the field with a score of 25.3, adding no penalties to their dressage score. Ellie Robinson and Divinci Code secured second place, while Lily Wickenden and Stage Fright took third.
