When Aaron Hadlow on board Vahlinvader won the FEI Jumping World Cup Australian League 2018/2019 it was a bitter-sweet victory when he elected not to travel to the Final in Sweden as a competitor.

Deciding to bide his time following his recent win after only his first season at World Cup level, Aaron was awarded partial funding to attend the World Cup Final as a spectator and prepare for future success by observing the best in the world in Gothenburg later this week.

In a post by the Australian Equestrian Team Facebook page, Aaron said, “The thing I’m looking forward to, being my first time at a big international event like this, is feeling involved and embracing the atmosphere on such a high standard.”

Aaron’s passion for riding began as a kid and it has taken him to new heights with his current ride on Vahlinvader, a warmblood-thoroughbred mare.

Not only did Aaron bring Vahlinvader (AKA Lucy) on from cross rails to World Cup level, but he can also work up to 6 horses at one time plus a full-time job at WIN TV.

Aaron plans to return to the World Cup circuit next year, aiming to retain his title, and someday make it to the World Cup Final.
