Peeblesshire’s Scott Brash who is currently based in West Sussex landed the CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix in St Tropez last weekend with Hello Senator, a 10 year-old Dutch bred by Carambole owned by Lady Kirkham and Lady Harris.

Thirty-nine combinations came forward to take on the 1.55m track designed by Cédric Longis. Scott and Hello Senator were the only British combination to finish in the top ten and Scott produced one of only seven double clears out of the ten who made it through to the jump-off.

It was a case of ‘catch me if you can’ as the pair posted a quick round of 39.49 seconds to take the win. Eduardo Menezes from Brazil came close to the winning time but couldn’t quite beat it as he steered Ennebel van het Posthuijs into second place with a time of 39.60 seconds. Marie Demonte (FRA) took third with Tanael des Bonnes, they produced a time of 40.95 seconds.
