Australian Grand Prix rider Brett Parberry was diagnosed with a fracture in the ball of his femur yesterday, after falling from his new ride, Quincy B.

Brett suffered a fall from the talented 5-year-old gelding after he suddenly spooked and bucked, which resulted in Brett having to be taken to the hospital and undergoing surgery. Brett will be out of action for six to eight weeks, to ensure he recovers well.

Quincy B, who was purchased in Europe by Lauren George was trained by elite dressage competitor, Jayden Brown. Quincy B has since been bought by Terry Snow, and is now continuing his dressage career with Willing Park’s Brett Parbery.
