The South Australian dressage fraternity were treated to three sensational days in November for the 2025 Equine Finance Solutions SA Dressage State Championships, conducted at the coastal Aldinga grounds of Southern Vales Dressage Club.

“The club worked incredibly hard to get their grounds looking lovely for the event and we send sincere thanks to their hard-working group!” says State Championships Organising Committee member Anne Raymond, who also praised Shane Curnow of Equipro Services for curating the arenas to perfection leading up to the weekend.

Championship results

Fun outside of the arena

“After the success of 2024, the Organising Committee decided to add a new and exciting dimension this year, with the addition of two dining events in a VIP marquee,” explains Anne. The VIP marquee was complete with chandeliers, French-style furniture, and fabulous on-site catering by Chief Catering and 10th Element Catering.

“The Sunday VIP Luncheon was proudly sponsored by Karrawatta Wines – we thank them for helping us create a truly special afternoon. What an atmosphere this created for sponsors, riders and friends during the Freestyles!”

Anne says the Freestyle classes were certainly a highlight for all, despite inclement weather. “The Freestyle classes were beautiful, with a couple of horses having to deal with hard sideways rain during their test… but they soldiered on, and some stunning music and dancing was enjoyed by the crowd!”

An online auction fundraiser was also part of the fun this year, with a large array of prizes keenly bid on. “Thank you to the Victorian AOR group for the inspiration and the advice to set it up! And again, a thank you to our generous sponsors for supporting the auction with prizes,” says Anne.
