Riding Finch Farm Clifford, popular Australian show jumper David Cameron clinched his first win on American soil at the World Equestrian Center, Ocala on Friday.

The pair won the $1,500 1.45m Jumper class, while fellow Australian Scott Keach, who is based in America, placed 3rd and 4th in the same class with Falcon De Hus Z and Wild Thing respectively.

David and Finch Farm Clifford will now be one of 33 combinations to compete in Saturday’s $75,000 Grand Prix class, and there’s no doubt that Friday’s win has been the perfect preparation for the major class at the Winter Spectacular show.

Having commenced his American campaign two weeks ago at the Palm Beach Internation Equestrian Center’s Winter Equestrian Festival, David has travelled north for his current competition, held on Florida’s West Coast at the new World Equestrian Center Ocala, the largest equestrian complex in the United States.

We look forward to following the exciting combination of David Cameron and Finch Farm Clifford in tonight’s Grand Prix class, and as their American show season continues!
