More success for Kristy Oatley and Du Soleil

Following her success at the CDI3* in Zakrzów, Poland a week ago,  Australian Olympian Kristy Oatley has again notched up some impressive scores at a CDI3* in Verden, Germany.

Riding her long-time partner Du Soleil — a gorgeous 17-year-old liver chestnut Hanoverian gelding whom she took to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and 2018 World Equestrian Games — Kristy scored 71.565% for fourth place in the Grand Prix and 76.080% for first place in the Freestyle.

The Grand Prix in particular had quite a strong field, with the class being won by Sweden’s Therese Nilshagen and stallion Dante Weltino OLD on 74.391%.

Results from the Grand Prix can be found here.

Kristy and Du Soleil now have their sights firmly set on Tokyo 2020. “I’m striving towards my sixth Olympic nomination, and fifth Olympic participation” explains Kristy.
