Olivia Hamood & Jane Fonda DVD win Caboolture World Cup

By Equestrian Life

Olivia Hamood and Jane Fonda DVD have won the Caboolture World Cup qualifier at the Queensland State Equestrian Centre over the weekend. The local combination produced two fantastic clear rounds, their second being the fastest to claim the win, just 0.06 seconds quicker than second-placed Aaron Hadlow and Vahlinvader.

Third place went to Josh Collins and Cornel, while Brooke Edgecombe and LT Holst Andrea were fourth. Tom McDermott filled the next two placings with Elegance De La Charmille and Warraleigh Park Cortez; the former posting the quickest time of the second round albeit with a rail down.

It has been three months since the last World Cup qualifier on Australian soil, with Caboolture being the third event in the ten-leg series. The season kicked off in Victoria with Shepparton and Werribee in March, and Billy Raymont claimed both aboard Anton and Black Jack IXE respectively. Olivia and Jane Fonda were third in both legs, however led the series coming into Caboolture as Black Jack IXE wasn’t Billy’s World Cup nominated horse at Werribee.

Her win at Caboolture means Olivia retains the World Cup series lead.

You can read more about Olivia, who earlier this year was crowned Australian Senior Champion at Boneo Park, in the March 2022 issue of Equestrian Life.
