Scores step up on day two of Willinga Park CPEDI

The second day of competition has wrapped up at the Willinga Park CPEDI, and like yesterday there were many exciting performances and top scores.

In the CPEDI3* classes, no less than seven combinations achieved 67%+ qualifying scores. Among other considerations, part of the nomination criteria for potential Australian team selection for the 2024 Paris Paralympics requires combinations to receive an overall percentage score of 67% or above in a Grand Prix Test A or B in at least two CPEDI 3* events between 1 October 2023 and 19 June 2024.

The CPEDI3* Grade I Grand Prix B went to Stella Barton and Lord Larmarque, who improved on Friday’s score in the Grand Prix A to post an impressive 73.681%.

The CPEDI3* Grade IV Grand Prix B saw another win to Zoe Vorenas and Salmour on 69.910%. Dianne Barnes and Sorena 7 were again second today on 68.378%, while Zoe also finished third with Wis Forte on 68.108%.

The CPEDI3* Grade V Grand Prix B saw Paralympian Lisa Martin and Vilaggio win again today scoring 71.316%, with Lisa also finishing second on Juicy Wiggle with 70%. Chelsea De Jonge and Don Dancier finished third with 68.070%.

The CPEDI3* Grade II Grand Prix B was won by Paralympian Victoria Davies and Celere on 66.889%, while the CPEDI3* Grade III Grand Prix B went to Samantha Hawes and Gotico Park Estralo on 56%.

In the CPEDI2* classes, the Grade III Inter B went to Anne Skinner and Ballangeich Run Filou on 60.199%, the Grade IV Inter B went to Brooke Neville and Cera Conquest on 61.021%, and the Grade V Inter B went to Heidi Ford and Rikaardt H on 63.081%.

In the Virtus classes, the Virtus Grade II3 Test B went to Jodin Bell and Zoey’s Unicorn on 52.875%, the Virtus II2 Test B went to Sui Watts and Gem Park Guess on 64.839%, and the Virtus II1 Test B was won by Sarah Sherwood and Dicavalli Royal Guess on an impressive score of 71.250%.
