Simone Pearce wins CDI3* Grand Prix with Cadeau Noir

Australian dressage rider Simone Pearce has won the CDI3* Grand Prix at Neustadt Dosse in Germany riding Cadeau Noir.
The pair scored 72.761% to top the 12 combination field in front of five international judges: Isobel Wessels, Nicole Nockemann, Maria Colliander, Peter Holler, and Alice Schwab. All five were unanimous in placing Simone and Cadeau Noir as the winners.
Cadeau Noir, a 13-year-old black Hanoverian stallion by Christ 3 and out of a De Niro 6 mare, was bred by Thomas Heuer in Germany and is owned by Gestüt Bonhomme. It was Simone and Cadeau Noir’s second international Grand Prix as a combination, with the pair scoring 70.383% in a CDI3* at Kronenberg in December.
The stallion was lightly competed previously by Germany’s Lena Waldmann and debuted at international Big Tour level in 2021. His score with Simone at Neustadt Dosse marks a personal best CDI Grand Prix score to date.
“Super proud of Cadeau Noir gaining his first international Grand Prix win today at Neustadt CDI with almost 73%. It was the perfect start to our 2023 season. We still have lots to work on and improve, but we are definitely going in the right direction and I think the future looks very bright for this beauty,” said Simone.
