Australia’s top ranked Under 25 rider Jake Hunter won the CSIU25 1.40m at the Global Future Champions Show on the weekend. The show was one of four events to be held at the world class Tops International Arena, the home base of Edwina Tops-Alexander, during August and September.

Riding the grey mare Jativia, Jake was the fastest of 11 clear rounds in a class of 30 starters. It was a successful show for the young Australian, who also jumped clear with Wce Cruco in the CSIU25-A Final 1.50m.

Originally from Singleton New South Wales, Jake has been based overseas since he finished high school and now rides for Waldman Horses in The Netherlands, after initially working for Duffy Sport Horses in Ireland.

The next event at Tops International Arena will be CSI2* and CSIYH1* competitions from 4-6 September. Each day will feature two Longines Ranking Classes within the Big, Medium and Small tour categories, as well as one six-year-old and one seven-year-old class. Rising stars and upcoming equine talent will be out in full force, keen to make their mark at this prestigious competition ahead of the 5* classes including the GC Grand Prix of Valkenswaard and GCL of Valkenswaard from 10-13 September.

More information about past and upcoming shows, including start lists and results, can be found on the Tops International Arena website.
