Boneo Park offered for sale
Today it has been announced that the Mornington Peninsula’s premier equestrian facility, Boneo Park, will be offered for sale.
“The McNaught Family is offering for sale both the business as a going concern, and the landholding which is set across 318 hectares (789 acres) and 12 titles,” said Directors Fiona Selby and Karen Lawrence via a press release on behalf of the McNaught Family.
“The McNaught Family began developing Boneo Park over 20 years ago, acquiring several adjoining properties, and ultimately creating what is known today as Boneo Park and the restored Tootgarook Wetlands.
“Boneo Park has become a pre-eminent destination on the world acclaimed Mornington Peninsula. The business has run and hosted some of Australia’s premier equestrian events, and since 2019 its locally renowned restaurant ‘Arilla’ has been operating as a restaurant and function venue.
“Under the stewardship of the McNaught Family, the vast majority of the Tootgarook Wetland, which is located in Boneo Park, has been restored over the past decade. Today the property is perhaps the most pristine example of some of its vegetation types, in particular the 60 hectare Moonah woodland, and the 120 hectares of freshwater wetland. The property now has national significance both environmentally, and for its equestrian activities.
“Following more than 20 years of development and business operation, the family believes that the time has come for someone, who has the same drive and passion, to take this successful business into the future.
“Boneo Park is being offered as a ‘going concern’, allowing the future operator to continue to run all existing business activities.
“The business will continue to run as usual throughout the sale period, and we thank everyone for their support throughout this upcoming process.”
