Set amongst 126 acres of dairy farming land in southeast Victoria, Bloomfield Farm Warmblood Stud has been producing quality performance horses for more than a decade.
Set up by German-born Axel Renz and Victorian Kerrie Mann, their current breeding program is the result of careful planning, thinking in generations, and keeping a focus on specific mare families.

Bloomfield now offers breeders five options for purchasing their stallion services: A Full Guarantee Service, which includes a pregnancy and live foal guarantee; a Pay As It Grows service that allows for a payment plan for those in need of flexibility; a Pay On Pregnancy plan, where the service is finalized upon a confirmed positive pregnancy; and a Per Dose Service, which is essentially a single insemination dose for a reduced price.

Bloomfield-bred youngsters have a great reputation when it comes to quality, from the superb temperament, impressive looks and movement, to the education and training they receive before leaving for their new homes. For the past decade, Bloomfield have presented a selection of their foals for the ACE Assessment Tour and more recently the AWHA; the majority have been assessed Elite, with an impressive number of Australian Champions and State Champions. Those looking to purchase a young horse will find options available from foals through to three year olds.
Bloomfield’s progeny has been bred from the above stallions, out of a carefully developed broodmare herd.
“Choosing stallions to stand at stud who are from the best mare families is also a key factor in establishing a top-class broodmare herd,” explains Axel. “Stallions who complement each other is a priority for us, as our broodmares here includes daughters of our stallions, who are then bred to our other stallions. Therefore, it is very important that the stallions work well together. The combination of these factors has created the consistency in quality and type that we are known for.”
The broodmare herd includes European bloodlines, including the likes of Royal Hit, Don Davidoff, Blue Hors Zack, Argentinus, Don Ramiro, Jazz, Brentano II, Sunny Boy, Sir Donnerhall, Aachimedes, Pik Labionics, Jive Magic, Whisper and Contango II.

If you’re looking for your next superstar, look no further! Bloomfield Farm are auctioning off an exciting collection of horses in their 2019 Spring Auction. The online Auction will commence on at 9am on Friday 25th October, and will conclude at 8pm of Tuesday 29th October.
The auctioned horses will be presented at 12:30pm on Saturday 26th October. Horses up for auction are currently available to view through a private appointment.
