It was Remi Vigneron, ridden by Matthew Lord, who made the biggest impression, scoring 71.706% to claim the win. Second place went to Hillary McGregor and Karabil Park Sir Jazz on 71.382%, with Nicole Magoffin and Haracaido third on 69.265%. The AOR Prix St Georges class went to Kerri-Lee Ryder and TMH Bogart on 66.912%.

In the first of the Medium Tour classes, Serena Ireland and Royalty R won the Open Inter A with 66.529%, while the AOR Inter A went to Trisha Sellers and Rakete.

Five Big Tour horses took the opportunity to contest the Inter II ahead of the CDI3* and CDN Grand Prix tests in the coming days, with Robyne Smith and Gwandalan Luca winning on a score of 65.971%.

The Medium level horses were also in action. The Open 4.2 went to Serena Ireland, this time with the stunning Tjibbe B; the pair scored an impressive 71.486%. In the Open 4.3, Matthew Lord claimed another win, riding Denira to a score of 70.256%. It was Serena who ultimately claimed the overall Open Medium Championship, with Matthew named the Reserve.

In the only Para Dressage class of the day, Sandi-Leigh Norris won the Grade V Novice Test on 68.654% riding Finch Farm Cosmique Cavall.

Competition continues tomorrow and across the weekend, and includes a CDI3* Grand Prix on Friday – a class that provides competitors with the chance to secure a qualifying score for the Paris Olympics.
