Brisbane CDI wraps up at QSEC

Sunday saw the final day of competition for The Saddlefitter Brisbane CDI & QLD Dressage Championships, with a highlight being the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle. Saturday’s CDI3* Grand Prix Special winners, Jessica Dertell and Cennin, were victorious again on Sunday, scoring an impressive 75.975%.
Second place went to Alexis Hellyer and Daenarys on 72.345%, with Elliot Patterson and Del Piero ZF a close third on 72.2325%, and Breanna Tillitzki fourth on BZ Rafael with a score of 67.85%.
The CDI Big Tour Championship title went to Jessica Dertell and Cennin, with Elliot Patterson and Del Piero named Reserve Champions. Jessica was also the winner of the CDI Big Tour Jackpot Prize of $5,000, very generously donated by Dressage Queensland and Equestrian Queensland.
In other classes on Sunday at QSEC, Julie Bland and Jordan won the CDN Grand Prix Special, scoring 66.56%, with the pair also named CDN Big Tour Champions.
The CDI-U25 Grand Prix Freestyle went to Saturday’s Grand Prix CDI-U25 winners, Jessica Dertell and Syriana, on 74.025%. Tanisha Ryan and Prequel were second on 69.97%. The CDI-U25 Championship title went to Jessica and Syriana.
Jessica also had further success in the CDI-Y Freestyle, claiming first and second with Gladstone MH (74.158%) and Eskara de Jeu (71.383%). The CDI-Y Championship title went to Jessica and Gladstone MH, with Eskara de Jeu named the Reserve Champion.
Angelina Thompson and Enbarr rounded out a hat-trick of wins in the Junior classes, claiming the CDI-J Freestyle on 71.683% to be named CDI-J Champions.
Marley Yates and Mr Buck Meister won the CDI-P Freestyle on 67.767%, with the pair also winning the overall CDI Pony Rider Championship title.
Sunday also saw the Advanced Freestyle class, with Nicole Maggofin – Saturday’s Advanced Champion – claiming another win with Haracaido on 72.575%.
