Karen Manuel and her mare on the new arena surface!

Many of us are dreaming of a new riding arena for Christmas!

Karen Manuel is one very happy customer who has recently had her arena resurfaced by the team at Equestrian Services. Karen had a road base/crusher dust arena installed many years ago, and the time had come to have it re-surfaced.

The catalyst for re-surfacing her arena was that her mare had some health issues; she felt stiff and a bit sore through the back. To manage her mare’s health issues, Karen used to spend a lot of money on joint supplements and also had magnetic treatment done on a regular basis. It was tricky to keep the mare sound!

Since Karen made the switch to Equestrian Service’s FLEX Pre-Mix surface, she has experienced a lot of health benefits and an improvement in the mare’s performance. Her horse feels confident and safe on an even surface, she is finding a better balance in the corners and has gained more strength through the topline. Right from the beginning her mare was not stiff, as the new surface gave a gentle cushioning on the legs. Karen has also noticed that her mare is less fatigued and her sessions are more productive!

Karen says it has been “the best investment she has ever made”, as her mare is now going from strength to strength and competing successfully. “The all weather surface is providing great footing, with just enough grip, and not getting too sloppy, even with the huge amounts of rain we have had lately!” she says.
