CHIO Aachen set for September!
Following its cancellation in 2020, the prestigious CHIO Aachen is set to go ahead in September this year, with spectator tickets already on sale.
Organisers have said it will be “a CHIO Aachen that the visitors are familiar with” and all five CHIO disciplines (dressage, eventing, showjumping, driving and vaulting) will participate.
The event is set to grant showground access to immunised people (recovered or fully vaccinated) or people in possession of a negative Covid-19 test.
This year’s event will also farewell a champion, with Olympic team gold and individual silver medallist Isabell Werth officially retiring her great mare Bella Rose. It is unclear whether the pair will compete or complete a demonstration ride, with the event simply saying, “Isabell Werth has recently decided that CHIO Aachen should be the last big stage for Bella Rose”.
The provisional timetable has been released, and the official entry lists will be released closer to the event.
You can find out more via the CHIO Aachen website.
