The Frankfurt CDI4* (Germany) was remarkable for many reasons!

The Grand Prix saw a strong field, with Daniel Bachmann Andersen and Blue Hors Zepter being declared the winners on a score of 78.543%. However, many eyes were on the second placegetters, Kristina Bröring-Sprehe and Desperados FRH (76.891%); the champion stallion, who was on the German team at the London and Rio Olympics, as well as 2014 WEG and the 2013/2015 European Championships, returned to competition following an eight-month break. Third place went to Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Zaire-E on 76.043%, while fourth went to Isabell Werth and Don Johnson FRH 75.087%.

Kristina Bröring-Sprehe and Desperados FRH went on to win the Special on 78.085%, with Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Zaire-E  second on 77.447% and Daniel Bachmann Andersen and Blue Hors Zepter third on 76.468%.

In the Freestyle, it was Isabell Werth and Don Johnson who won with a score of 80.3%, from Ingrid Klimke and Franziskus 15 on 76.025%. Third place went to Emma Kanerva and Dambacu Nl on 75.325%.

Daniel Bachmann Andersen’s success continued in Frankfurt, also winning the Louisdor Prize final with Blue Hors Veneziano. The class was launched in 2007 is for developing Grand Prix horses.

The other big class of the weekend was the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal championship of Prix St. Georges Special; the class was won by Dorothee Schneider and the eight-year-old First Romance.
