Equestrian superstar, Ingrid Klimke has achieved Olympic qualifications in both eventing and dressage, for the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Games, which are set to commence later this year in July.
The five-time Olympian is now eligible to become the first equestrian to compete in two disciplines at the same Olympic Games since Sir Mark Todd.
Klimke qualified her immensely talented 11-year-old Grand Prix ride, Franziskus, who is owned by Wilhelm Holkenbrink, for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics by securing an impressive personal best score of 76.128% in the Grand Prix Special. Klimke and Franziskus also posted a great score of 75.413% in the Grand Prix Special at the CDI Stuttgart late last year. These scores have since moved the combination from the German B-Team, to the A-Team, which is considered to be the Olympic Squad team.
