The FEI has published the confirmed combinations 20 days out from the Final in Fort Werth, Texas with a number of riders originally eligible opting not to travel. Among them are defending champions Lottie Fry and Glamourdale for Great Britain, as well as FEI #1 Justin Verboomen and Zonik Plus for Belgium.

Also choosing not to make the trip are Isabell Werth (Germany), Larissa Pauluis (Belgium), Mariek Van der Putten (Netherlands), Fie Skarsoe (Luxembourg) and Mary Hanna (Australia). With extensive travel demands and a World Championship year ahead, many athletes appear to be prioritising long-term preparation over a World Cup Final start.

These withdrawals have opened up additional starting places, allocated to Yessin Rahmouni for the Netherlands, who secured qualification through CDI Lier and CDI-W Den Bosch, and Charlotte Dujardin for Great Britain, as the highest ranked athlete in February to have contested two CDI-W qualifiers. This will mark Charlotte’s first World Cup Final appearance since her ban and fans will be keen to see her at one of the highest levels of competition again.

For Australia, Serena Ireland and Royalty R will represent the Pacific League, giving local supporters a strong combination to follow. Meanwhile, Germany’s Moritz Treffinger will partner Fiderdance – previously campaigned by Simone Pearce for Australia at the 2023 FEI World Cup Final in Omaha.

For the Western European League, the nine spots are filled by:

  1. Patrik Kittel and Touchdown (Sweden)
