Future champions shine at Melbourne International Three-Day Event
First held in 1957, Melbourne International Three-Day Event has cemented itself as Victoria’s premier three-day event and a proving ground for some of Australia’s best riders and horses. This event is set to be no exception, with the Olympic year promising top action across the 4*-L and CCN4*S classes.
Off The Track CCI2*-L Junior/Young Rider
It was an exciting day in the Off The Track CCI Junior/Young Rider 2*-L, with the class contested by a strong 37 rider line up. Ruby Rae sits as the overnight leader with WHF Frequency, scoring 28.7. Close behind, Hannah Rockwell and Bold Cointreau secured second place overnight with 29.4, while Caitlin Ward and Chardale Jett rounded out the top three with a score of 30.
4Cyte CCI3*-L
The strong scores continued throughout the day, with the CCI3*-L category sponsored by 4Cyte looking to be an exciting competition. Hazel Shannon and Willingapark Chelsea took the overnight top spot with a score of 28.1. Close behind, Shashank Kataria on Icaro LB finished the day in second with 29.8, and Oliver Barrett on Sandhills Briar lie in third place with 30.7.

The sun shone brightly over Werribee this afternoon, setting the perfect scene for the CCI4*-L trot up. All 14 horses were accepted, and will start in the dressage tomorrow.
