Dual Australian International 3DE winner Hazel Shannon has gained the ride on Oliver Townend’s 11-year-old gelding Cooley SRS, the horse with whom he finished runner up at Badminton this year.
Purchased by Terry and Ginette Snow of Willinga Park, Cooley SRS will head to Australia from the UK in February 2019. Sharon Ridgway, a renowned match-maker for riders in search of top level eventers, found and recommended the horse for Hazel.
The horse will join Hazel’s two-time CCI4* winner Clifford. Willinga Park also purchased Clifford following the horse’s first win at Adelaide in 2016, allowing Hazel to retain the ride on the horse and subsequently win the event again this year.
Hazel’s current goal is Tokyo 2020, and perhaps Cooley SRS is the horse that can do it!
