Boneo Park hosted its first jumping event of 2026, with the Browns Sawdust World Wetlands Day Jumping Championships delivering three days of top-level action from 23–25 January.

Sunday’s 2026 Browns Sawdust & Shavings World Wetlands Grand Prix was claimed by the in-form combination of Jack Barker and Cornets Prinzess, who produced the only double clear of the class. The pair also posted the fastest Round 2 time of 48.75 seconds.

Cornets Prinzess (Cornet Pilatus x Above the Clouds) is a nine-year-old mare purchased from Bridget Kelly. She previously partnered Barker to victory in the Turiya Farms Mini Prix Championship at the 2025 Pet Circle Australian Jumping Championships and also claimed the NSW State Senior Championship title.

Barker dominated Sunday’s feature class, also finishing runner-up with Bellhaven Calisco after lowering just one rail in Round 2 in a time of 52.67 seconds.

James Harvey and Yirrkala Celeste (8/54.17) filled third place, followed by Allyson Lamb with King Kashmir TN (10/56.99) in fourth. Brook Dobbin rounded out the top five with Devos GP (24/55.45).

Ally Lamb was last year’s World Wetlands Grand Prix winner riding Eagle Rock, with the duo also having won in 2024.

Mini Prix Championship win for Phil Lever

Saturday’s Leader Equine Mini Prix Championship went to Phillip Lever and seasoned campaigner Lomachenko, one of only three combinations to jump clear in a demanding Round 1. They delivered another clear in the jump-off, stopping the clock at 42.11 seconds to secure the win.

Jessica Pateman and Celso also finished on a double clear, placing second in 43.45 seconds. Jack Barker completed the podium with Oaks Cryptic, producing another faultless performance in 44.74 seconds.

Rachael Gane and Minnamurra Park Calatol (1) and Kristy Bruhn with Pure Diamond (4) completed the top five as the next best-placed combinations from Round 1.

Future Stars Championship

Robert Palm and Comme Fu claimed the Fleming’s Nurseries Future Stars Championship on Sunday, recording the quickest of seven double clears with a jump-off time of 34.49 seconds.

Frida Lindgren and Moviestar L (0/36.25) took second, narrowly ahead of Allyson Lamb and Diamond B Franklin (0/36.33). Sam Williams and Call Of The Wild placed fourth (0/36.36), with Jack Barker and Tulara Karash rounding out the top five (0/37.06).

Young Rider Championship

Joel Lamb secured Sunday’s 2026 Browns Sawdust World Wetlands Young Rider Championship with Eagle Rock, producing the fastest of four double clears in 36.20 seconds.

Josephine Connors and Narrado MVNZ finished second (0/38.00), followed by Lucy Borrack and Kiwi Delux (0/38.61). Jack Barker followed with Tulara Chia (0/41.90), Tulara On Trend (4/33.05), and Tulara For Quinar (4/33.10). Despite having winning speed, costly rails denied Barker a podium finish on this occasion. Earlier at the event, Barker and Tulara On Trend took out Friday’s 140cm class.
