Australian dressage rider Kate Kyros has won the Preis der P.I.A GmbH & Co. KG Kl. S*** at Dressurturnier des Reiterverein in Scherpenseel, Germany, scoring an impressive 72.325% with Intro K to finish at the top of a 13-combination field.

The 21-year-old and her 12-year-old KWPN stallion (Apache x Harmony’s Rousseau) were placed first by all three judges in the German national level test, which is equivalent to an Intermediate II test.

“The past few months have been so enjoyable learning how to train Intro up to the Big Tour,” says Kate. “I am forever grateful to Ton De Ridder and the team at Gestüt Moosbend for the excellent coaching and support. Winning the Inter II with over 72% was an incredibly exciting reflection of this work. I am especially proud as we chose to ride as per FEI with no whip. I am blessed to share this journey with Intro, he is my perfect teammate.”
