CDIO Lier (15-18 May) is set to begin in Belgium on Thursday, and once again there is an Australian rider entered.
European-based Australian Kate Kyros is competing in the CDI-Y Young Rider classes with her 11-year-old KWPN stallion Intro K (Apache x Harmony’s Rousseau).
The CDI-Y at Lier certainly has an international flavour, with eighteen combinations representing ten countries on the entry list.
Kate and Intro K are based at the De Ridder barn, Gestüt Moosbend, in Belgium – just over the border from Germany and only a short drive from Aachen.
Several Australian have competed with success at the venue previously. At CDI Lier in March last year, Australians Lyndal Oatley and Jayden Brown both finished in the top ten of the CDI4* Grand Prix with Elvive and WillingaPark Quincy B respectively.
