Law suits have been filed against George Morris in New York

Two people who claim that they were sexually abused as teenagers by Olympic medallist and former United States team show jumping coach George Morris have commenced legal action. Law suits were filed on Wednesday in New York, exactly one year after Morris was banned for life by the United States Equestrian Federation, following an investigation by the United States Center for SafeSport.
The plaintiffs are two of the men who originally came forward to SafeSport, prompting the investigation that led to the barring of Morris.
Jimmy Williams, a Californian riding coach who died in 1993, was also part of a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles. The equestrian federation and the riding academy where he was employed for decades were sued by a woman who said Williams had sexually assaulted her from the ages of 12 to 17.
