Lyndal Oatley and Eros win CDI3* Freestyle in Belgium
Australian dressage rider Lyndal Oatley won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle on Saturday at Lier CDI in Belgium. Riding the grey KWPN gelding Eros, Lyndal achieved an impressive PB score of 77.570% to edge out Belgian rider Larissa Pauluis and First-Step Valentin on 74.650%.
On Friday, the pair finished second in the Grand Prix on another PB score of 74.370%, just behind Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier and Valencia AS on 75.804%.
Lyndal was thrilled with Eros, aka Ross, saying via social media that she was “that proud of him” that she cried.
Lyndal also rode Elvive in the CDI4* Grand Prix, finishing sixth on 71.913%. The class was won by Sweden’s Juliette Ramel and Buriel K.H. on 75.935%.
Fellow Aussie Warwick McLean was also in the placings at Lier with black Westphalian gelding Hendrix 11. The pair were fourth in the CDI3* Grand Prix on 70.609%, and sixth in the CDI3* Grand Prix Special scoring 68.553%.
