Australian dressage rider Lyndal Oatley has recorded a new personal best score while winning the FEI Grand Prix at the Sporthorses Scholz Dressage Day.

Lyndal rode the beautiful 12-year-old Dutch warmblood, Elvive, in the mare’s Grand Prix debut to record a massive 76.2% on Tuesday.

The score rocketed Lyndal into the first place with more than 5% distance from the runner-up, Germany’s Jessica Süss, at the event in Sassenberg.

In a post on Facebook, Lyndal celebrated the win and Elvive’s impressive Grand Prix debut.

“Still shocked and overwhelmed! After much waiting and false starts thanks to corona, we finally got to make our Grand Prix debut! And Ellie (Elvive) went above and beyond,” Lyndal wrote.

“New personal best by a long shot but it was never about the score. I am just so proud of her and thankful to be able to sit on this mega mare!”

A massive congratulations to Lyndal and her superstar “Ellie” from Equestrian Life!
