It has been announced that well known Australian judge Mary Seefried will retire from judging at the end of the year.

Dressage NSW Inc. released the following in their Facebook page:

“Mary Seefried will be retiring at the end of this year as an FEI 5-star Judge. Mary was Australia’s first FEI 5-star Judge and was promoted to 5-star status by the FEI in 1998 before the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games where she was a member of the Ground Jury for the Sydney Games.

“DNSW presented a gift to Mary at the NSW Dressage Championships in appreciation of her support of dressage in NSW. As an EA A level judge, Mary will continue to judge at our major events in the national comps. Her expertise will not be wasted.”

Mary has been named the Technical Delegate for Dressage at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Thank you Mary for all you’ve done for the sport!
