Megan Jones claims victory again at Tonimbuk Horse Trials

Australian eventer Megan Jones has retained her crown at the Tonimbuk Horse Trials after winning the CCI4*-S class for the second year in a row over the weekend.

Only half a percent separated first and second place in the VRW Civil CCI4*-S class, with Megan and the 13-year-old Warmblood mare RLE Barina finishing on 45.9 penalties, while Samuel Jeffree and Woodmount Lolita followed behind on 46.4 penalties.

David Middleton and Wec In The Money came in third on 49.2 penalties, and Murray Lamperd finished in fourth on 61.3 penalties with the thoroughbred Secret Mojo.

Snapping at Murray’s heels with only a .1 per cent difference was Isabell Houghton and Tulara Diarangol on 61.4 penalties.

Megan Jones also had two other rides in the class, finishing in sixth and seventh place with Guhr and Toulando.
